Why did I open Experienced Property Management of Jax?
I've been asked a few times why did you open up Experienced Property Management of Jax? Here's a few reasons why. First, I felt like I could offer a great product at a fair price. Second, I have seen some of the mistakes that other companies have made over the past 15 years. For example some companies want to change the terms of the agreement on owners and Tenants during a relationship. I felt like that wasn't the right thing to do. I've seen companies say owner if you want us to keep doing this we are going to charge you this and to me those types of issues should be resolved prior to entering a management agreement with a company. I've seen owners get hurt, because the person or company they hired did not have the experience needed to properly manage their home. I felt like with over 15 years of property management experience and since I have managed thousands of homes over the past 15 years I could help owners.
Also, I have been a customer over the past 20 plus years and some companies give good service and others do not. It drives me nuts when I have to deal with a company that gives poor service so I wanted to have more control on the service aspect. One of the things I've learned over the years is the bigger you become the more you run the risk of a disconnect between the customers and employees. I recently had a horrible experience with a large bank and it took months to resolve the issue and it should not be like that. With us we are a local company and you can talk to the owner of the company if you need to. I'm one of those people that feels like you should treat people the way you want to be treated. I also understand that managing someone's home is a great responsibility and that you need to look out for the owners best interest. Some companies charge owners a "maintenance handling fee" or "maintenance up charge" and I always thought how can you look out for the owners best interest if you are charging them more for a maintenance issue? We do not charge a maintenance handling fee or an up charge fee.
